February Follow-Through

Well, it's a couple of days late, but I promise, I do have goals for the month of February!

But first, let's review January (oh, if we must...).

Goals:
***Water: 8-10 8oz glasses daily (CHECK!!!)
***Exercise: 30-60 min, 5 times each week (um...nope, but we're getting better!)
***Journal daily (CHECK!!! With great success, I'm loving being back in the routine of writing about not only what I'm reading in my Bible, but what I'm learning about in other areas of my life)
***Log food on SparkPeople daily (Made it about halfway through the month, but then I got lazy)

Biogrpahy to read:
"Life Without Limits" by Nick Vujicic. It was a decent read--I think I'd much rather hear him speak, though. Somehow what he has to say seems more dynamic then. The book seemed rather repititious after awhile.

Goals for the year:
***Read Bible & "My Utmost for His Highest" each day (CHECK!!!)
***Take a picture and post it on Project 365 & Facebook each day (I've been taking the picture, but I've been negligent about posting it...I finally got caught up last night)
***Write in a journal daily (see above)
***Blog weekly (I've missed two weeks, but that is about to be remedied...)

Overall, not too shabby of a month. I didn't meet all of my goals, but I've made quite a bit of progress, so I'm going to focus on that and run with it for the month of February.

Speaking of running, my February goals:

***Water: 8-10 8oz glasses daily
***Couch to 5K training 3 times per week (Monday, Wednesday and Saturday...Friday is my new rest day, I have a Bible study that starts at 6AM and I usually am busy in the evenings)
***Blog once a week (see, I told you I'd try to remedy that) :)

Biography/Autobiography to Read:
"Choosing to SEE" by Mary Beth Chapman. She is the wife of Steven Curtis Chapman. This book is the story of her life, leading up to and going through the horrible season when one of her daughters was accidentally run over by one of her sons. So far, the book has been a great read. It's made me laugh and cry (sometimes at the same time). I'm loving her style of writing--it's easy to read, but there is a depth to it that causes me to pause and think.

Standard Goals for Whole Year:
***Read Bible & "My Utmost for His Highest" each day
***Take a picture and post it on Project 365 & Facebook each day
***Write in a journal daily
***Blog weekly

    You have set some really good goals, Erin....some for improving your health and some for improving your relationship with the Lord. Very good.

    And it is good to see that you are rejoicing in the progress that you made during January. It is too easy to reflect on what we did not accomplish, but that has no positive value at all. So, again, good job on the progress that you have made. Keep up the great work as you tackle February.
