10 minute goal

I set a number of goals using the spark streak thing...most of them I haven't kept up as well as one would hope. The one I have been doing though is 10 minutes of exercise as soon as I get up followed by 3 surya namaskars (sun salutations). Roll out of bed, flip on the coffee, run the dogs out, and then I just run up and down the stairs for 8-10 minutes followed by the sun salutation stretches. Just doing that much at least gets me going a little in the morning and it beats staring at the coffee maker.

We were watching biggest loser and the coach had them doing the stair machine while carrying a medicine ball, so I added that to the stair exercise as well, either a medicine ball or dumbbells.

I definitely like the spark goals feature even if I haven't been very successful in sticking to them. It doesn't take very long to click them off every few days, and I can see over a month that there is at least a little progress towards incorporating some healthier habits.

Enough for today, I'm supposed to be ripping boards for window trim.

    Ours are old creaky wooden stairs so it's a fair amount of racket when I run on them. Lots of noise must mean progress in happening, right? To the stairs!

    Stairs and sun salutations. Excellent idea. I wonder if I can do 10 minutes of stairs without waking my wife before she wants to be wakened? I think I should give it a try. I'm finding it hard--no, impossible--to hit that 10-Minutes-First-Thing-in-the-Morni
