I've decided on a goal!

I was reading a Spark digest article this morning, on Habits of fit people. I realized that having this open ended outlook at how much I loose , isn't making me accountable as much as I like. It said to share with others what your goal is. I'm hoping I'm not reaching for the stars here. In November I turn 55. I want to loose 50 lbs by that date. It will be the first time I will be anywhere close to a weight that is considered normal for my height. hehehe

I have wonderful friends who give me encouragement everyday and a bike that sits behind me calling my name everyday. How can I loose? I just feel that I need to give this the best shot I can. Thanks for reading this. Now I feel like I have shared with others that fact that I have something to reach for.

    Great idea! Great goal.! I want to do the same, but am cutting it up a little. I want to lose 10 pounds by the time I leave for Florida the beginning of March. That is 10 pounds from January 1st till March and then another 5 pounds a month after that, until I reach my goal.

    That is SO on track Duece. For health reasons... all of this stuff has become much more important and 'in my face' than before. I started writing them down in December. Then I started putting them on Sticky notes in January. I added them using an image file to my phone's background...AND it's my PROFILE image. I look at my goals all the time, and they tell me EXACTLY what I'm going to weigh each Sunday morning! I love it! Anyway.. then I decided I would actually DO the January Spark Calendar. I started it on Jan 30th, but I didn't really care about the month. It matched up with my month of February and that's all I was looking for. I created a template for each day using the calendar. It includes my checklist for what I need to do when I'm on Sparks. Like.. well... checking up on the people I care about....like YOU! And what's REALLY neat about your post is.. well.. take a look at my notes/blog today. Day 6. It's exactly what you wrote today.
    and... if you want the templates for the calendar... I can send them to you!
