There comes a time in life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh, forget the bad, and focus on the good. So, love the people who treat you right. Pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is part of LIFE...Getting back up is LIVING
Someone had posted this on Facebook a couple of days ago, and I reposted it. It totally relates to stuff that my hubby and I are going through. We printed it out, to remind us to focus on the good! and stop letting the drama people keep us down!
That is why we are making some MAJOR changes in our lives- starting now, on our 3rd anniversary- we are moving across country- driving. We don't have a lot of money, so its a very lean move, not staying in hotels, sleeping in the van. Can't afford uhaul truck, so did get a small trailer to put essentials in, no furniture. We do have an air mattress that we used camping, that will have to do til we can buy a real bed.
I lost my job Dec 23- Merry Christmas to me! Oregon has one of the highest unemployment rates in the country! Took me 2.5 years to land the job in the first place! At the same time, hubby was told no more Overtime, and he was getting 20-40 hours OT a WEEK! so our income dropped to 1/4 like that.
We get nothing but grief from his mom, nothing we do is good enough! We are living in her house that she owns outright, we pay all the utilities on the place. She moved into a mobile home park when we got married, but she keeps saying she needs to sell the place, doesn't care what happens to us, ( its not the market to sell, and it needs a lot of work, she lived her over 30 years, a chain smoker, and a pack rat) when she moved, she left over 95% of her stuff here, so we only live in a couple rooms of the house, bedroom and kitchen! She didn't want us to get rid of anything, and she doesnt have room in her new place for anymore stuff, so we are stuck! So, we are going to move out and she can do whatever she wants, but she still won't be happy! She is a life and joy sucker, and we can't take it anymore!
Time for us to take care of us, its been take care of everyone else up to this point, and its just not worth it anymore.
She doesn't know yet, as well as a few other family members on his side- we will send them a letter!
My family knows and they are excited for us, and totally understand that this is what we need to do.
I lived there, a few years ago, still have friends there, and they have connections to get me a job. Hubby has 4 interviews set up when we get there. We are working on the housing part- prayers would be greatly appreciated!
So, hubby and I and our 7 furbabies will be hitting the open road in less than 48 hours! Very excited about this new chapter in our lives~
So, I won't be around much for the next week, didn't fall off the face of the earth, just moving to get another view!
