Cant't sleep and struggling

Thursday, February 03, 2011

Hello friends,
I have really been struggling since November. First, my dad was very sick, then we lost him, next it was the holidays and very rough to get through them without my dad. Now, my youngest son is in some serious trouble and I am very worried about him. To top it all off, my chronic pain has increased with the help from all of this stress. I just had another surgery and they added a peripheral nerve stimulator for the pain. I already have a spinal cord stimulator. I am very uncomfortable and cannot sleep now. I do not mean to be whining...I just wish our lives would settle down some and I could see the light at the end of the tunnel. Please keep us all in your thoughts and prayers.
Thanks,
TLE

Sorry for your loss. Sounds like you have insomnia from stress. Have you reviewed any information from you local hospice group? Unfortunately, with the loss of a loved one it is not unusual to have lack of sleep for a month or 2; then if you add the anxiety of surgery; wow. Hang in there. Follow all the advice for insomniacs and may you sleep soon. emoticon

I noticed your blog on one team and then went to check in with another and there it was again. Must be a sign. Will be praying that your issues resolve quickly.. Seems like sometimes there is just a season that stresses of different varieties just keep coming and coming! Remember that God has promised to not put on us more than we can bear. Many times it stretches us to the point that we feel we can not hold on, but He knows our limits. Stretching builds muscles: physically and spiritually.

Dear Lord, please give her the peace, comfort, rest and encouragement that she needs now. Fill her life with Your direction and goodness so that she can best glorify You. Amen
