I Think I've Lost My Way!

I have been eating really poorly for about 24 hours now and am not sure how to get back on track. I know I need to start NOW, but I tried that yesterday and it didn't work. And, I feel I've already 'blown it' for today.

Besides the chips, way too many nuts, pancakes with syrup, chocolate milk, etc, my daughter made a batch of blueberry muffins last night (at my request). I've already eaten 5 and there are 3 left. When I have something in the house that is too tempting, my way of dealing with it is to EAT IT so it'll go away and then I can breathe again.

So, any suggestions for getting back on track? I did Boot Camp this morning and have my swimming class this evening, so I'm still exercising. I've been kind of disappointed with the scale, though (back up a pound) and I know that's part of it. And, I'm not tracking or drinking water. I just want it to be 'easy' again like it has for the past month!!!

    I found hubby's stash of mixed nuts with m and m's. Ate a good 3/4 cup ofit at 9:00. Yikes. Will find my favorite diet snack tomorrow and focus focus focus on that. Younare burning a lot of cals. Will be interesting to see if you lose. You are doing fine. Focus on the task at hand. .

    By recognizing the problem you made the first step. Freeze the remaining muffins if the rest of your family aren't eating them. Eat a filling, but nutritious dinner. Start fresh tomorrow. Good luck and don't beat yourself up too have accomplished a lot!

    I've told myself all these things too lately. What is causing you to lose control? I eat emotionally when I'm overwhelmed. Identifying the cause may help you take back your control. You can get through this little rough patch...maybe you just need some time for yourself to regroup.

    Sometimes you just have those day, trust me, I have them more often than not lately! Take a deep breath and try and figure out why you are eating off track. Are you bored, tired etc? Try and distract yourself with a book, a walk or nap. Drink some water. Hang in there! It will pass! Stay strong and positive! emoticon
