Out of the 300's and Very Close to My 50 Pound Goal!!

Monday, January 31, 2011

Since getting back into the swing of things, I have been feeling better about the whole process. During the months of November and December. I was struggling with the idea of the food that was going to be at all the meals, that we can have from Thanksgiving through New Years. But I got through it pretty well, I had only gained 6 pounds, but most of that was water weight. If not all of it. Since I lost it all for last weeks weigh in. I feel I am slowly learning that food is not my enemy at least not completely. I still need to watch for trigger foods. For me it can be sweets and even stuff with artificial sweetener in it. But I'm also learning how to enjoy when I do have it. Not eat something just because its there. Really think what it is that I want when I have a craving. On Thursday night Sweets and I were grocery shopping. I have been suffering from cabin fever. So it was nice to get out, and with him. But I was having a craving. So I tried to get to the root of it all. Over all, it was due to stress that is going on in my life at this time, (quitting the job, kids drama, being cooped up in the house and etc...) But I also knew that if I did not satisfy it I would be forever eating junk to try to satisfy it. So we got a snack. Both Sweets and I ate it that night. So on Friday morning, the craving was gone!

Went fabric shopping on Saturday. The weather had turned out really nice Saturday, so we enjoyed the sunshine, and did a bit of shopping. Fabric is eye candy for me.. :-)

Oh the cute purses I'm going to make with these!

First finish up Sierra's outfit. Then I'm off to sew a valentines purse. I have been thinking about this weekend. I need to make 2 or 3 so I can start stocking up... :-)

Till tomorrow,

Oh and I love the fabric! I actually know the black one with the flowers on it - a friend of mine just used it in a quilt! LOL!
