Feeling human again...

I've been out of it for a few days. I got the flu the day after I got the flu shot! Go figure. It's great for weight loss but I wouldn't recommend it.

I'm down 8.5 lbs since Jan. 1st. (over 17 lbs since last year). I'm ahead of my goal of 1.5 lbs per week. If I'm honest though, I might have stayed the same or even been up a pound or so since last week, if it wasn't for the flu. Don't know why. I've been faithfully keeping track and staying well within my caloric limit. I guess we all have those weeks. Maybe it's because I haven't been exercising daily. I could use the busy excuse but I won't. I could get my butt out of bed early and go for a walk.

I heard a radio show were a guy talked about carbs are what count for weight loss, not calorie counting or exercise. I do well when I watch the carbs. But I've been counting calories since Jan. 1 and that's been working too. I'm going to do a combination of both I think. We'll see how it goes.

It's another beautiful sunny day in the Cariboo, but cold. Minus 20 Celsius - Yikes. Treadmill here I come.

    its the treadmill for me too..I've been counting calories and watching carbs too. I try to eat the healthier, high fiber carbs.
