New motivation: Cheating Husband

Friday, January 28, 2011

I'm back, after months of not writing. Baby is 6 months, weight is 145 - 146. I have a new motivation to get fit and look amazing unfortunately is not a real positive one. My husband and I dated for 3 years before our marriage, we have been married for six wonderful years he has been a loving, caring and helpful husband. He is the best father a kid could ask for for our two children. Last week as I was organizing and shredding old paper work I found out that he had been cheating on me for the entire time we were dating including just a few months before we got married. I feel like such a cliche, beyond stupid, beyond blind for putting this man on a pedestal. There are so many layers to the deception I really can't write them all. I love him and he says since we got married he has not seen her again, but how can I trust?
I don't know that I could ever forgive him for all the nights he was with her after being with me. And then, now that I'm married I see and understand that things are not just black and white. These past six years were real and that I cannot erase. He cried, apologized a hundred times and as hard it is for many to understand I decided to save my marriage because of those six years because of what he has shown with actions and not with words. However thing have changed, trust has been broken and I would be naive and stupid to not have a back up plan. First order of business is looking fan@#%tastic!

He stopped seeing the other girl months BEFORE you got married. That was when he made the commitment to you. I would be hesitant to call him a cheating husband. I really don't defend Tom Cats easily, but this guy chose you once he realised he wanted to be in a relationship with you and only you. Let go of the past - what matters is what happens within your marriage. You said you've forgiven him, that's great. Now it's time to prove that you've forgotten it, too. Don't ever dig it up again. He loves you.

    God's blessings to you both!
