Kicking My Own Butt

Thursday, January 27, 2011

Today I went a little crazy with the exercise.

emoticon Started out with some Turbo Jam Cardio Party 2. That's a nice 45 minute workout where I burned 450 calories per my bodybugg. I had an awesome sweat going on.

Took a break, had a snack and some water then...
emoticon8 miles. I'm signing up for a duathlon which is 2 miles running, 8 miles biking then another 2 miles running. Yikes! Better start practicing.

I started thinking while I was biking, "What if I come in last? I'd hate to fail." Then I realized that I'd only be failing if I quit. There is nothing wrong in coming in last. Heck, even if I can't finish the race I don't think I'd be a failure unless I never tried again. So I won't fail. I'll just keep trying and have fun while I'm doing it. emoticon

After lunch I did.....
emoticonOxygen magazine's February issue's Part 2 of Your Best Body". I did quads, hammies, glutes and calves. Thought.I.was.going.to.die. Legs are my weak spot so I guess this is what I need to be doing. emoticon

For a recovery protein snack I had Greek yogurt, honey and walnuts mixed together. emoticon Yum yum.

Though the scale is stuck at 188, I'm definitely slimming down. Clothes are either fitting better or downright loose! Wearing size 14s like I own it. That darn scale can go to hell. I'm loving the way I'm looking. emoticon emoticon

Have a wonderful day, emoticon

Where/when's the duathlon? Sounds interesting, since my dislike of swimming would rule out a tri.

I love Turbo Jam CP mix 2, its one of my favorite workouts. Wow, and biking on top of that. Great job on all the exercise. I am sure you are building up muscle there. I personally gave up on my scale, I put it away for a couple of months (if I can make it that long) and am measuring success by my clothes. They are starting to get loose again :)
