I Can't Make Up My Mind

Thursday, January 27, 2011

I noticed recently that I have so many different fitness goals that I keep hopping between them, working on first one, then another. Here are all I can think of right now, but there might be others:
-Run 3 miles in 30 minutes
-Swim a mile without stopping
-Establish a regular strength-training routine
-Go to yoga classes 2-3 times per week
-Complete the 30 Day Shred
-Run a 6-minute mile
-Complete the Central Park Loop in less than 70 minutes

And I think there are more.

I have more goals than I can work toward at one time! So one day I go swimming and the next day I do yoga and the next day I do weights, and every day I beat myself up for not being more consistent with whatever I'm working on that day! Enough of that. For now, I'm going to just keep doing whatever I feel like for that day. Maybe sometime soon, I'll pick one goal and really focus hard on it. But for now, as long as I'm doing a variety of fitness activities, and doing something most days, that's good enough for me.

Great goals! At least with a variety of fitness activities, you never get bored, and your body never gets used to one type of work out routine!
