Yesterday was a really good day. My son is a specialist at Fort Polk and I haven't seen him since Christmas. He came home yesterday and offered to make dinner. (He loves cooking since joining the army - I guess you can guess why) He's like mom and puts on lbs very easily and tries to keep within a certain calorie range to meet army weight requirements. Any wooo, we had a fun time cooking "his version" of homemade tacos and visiting.
I met my exercise requirements and stayed within my calorie range even though I cheated a tiny bit on a piece of pie I made. : )
Today I'm going to try something new. I bought two beginner strength training exercise dvds - Absolute Beginner Series and Strength Training For Dummies.
I know I can do the full range of exercises they cover. I have Coach Nicole's Fitness dvd but there are many exercises I am not ready for on that one. I think the beginner dvds will help me work up to those. I'm really excited about getting started on those because I have very little muscle mass - partly due to genetics and a lot due to lack of exercise.
