Dr. Oz’s Rule of 5

Just thought I would share :)

Dr. Oz’s Rule of 5: throw away (or donate!) all the food in your house that list ANY of the following within the first 5 ingredients:

1. Simple sugars
2. Syrups
3. White flours
4. Saturated fats
5. Trans fats


This is something I have been more aware of over the past year...especially trans fats & white flour. It's good to be reminded to check the 1st 5 ingredients when buying products. I prefer to buy products that only HAVE 5 ingredients...things I can pronounce and recognize...vs. chemicals that do God knows what to my body!
