I went back to the doctor this morning for my ultrasound. The doctor would like to try the ablation first and try to avoid the hysterectomy. He is afraid that a hysterectomy would be way too difficult. I am so relieved that the ablation is my first option. I will be having surgery the end of February, considering that most of my pain occurs within a week prior and during my cycle. Hopefully, the ablation will stop the pain.

I just completed my first 5k for the BL Challenge. Whew, that felt amazing. I didn't rush it. I completed it in walk/run intervals. 2 more to go and I earn the challenge points. I am pushing hard this week. I would like to see the 150's within the next week or two. I am so ready.

On another note, I was looking over my measurements that I track through body bugg website and decided to calculate the inches lost. Since June, I have lost a total of 17.75 inches!!!!! Imagine if I had stuck with it in the beginning. Anyhow, I will take the 17.75 inches lost and be proud!! I am getting compliments daily from co-workers that I don't see on a daily basis.

Oh Melissa I know you're so relived to be trying the ablation first. I so hope that works for you. I hate that you have to wait an entire month to have it, but I understand why.

Great job on the 5K and especially on the inches lost! Sometimes we rely to much on the scale. Losing those inches really shows you've been working hard to get fit!

You're doing a wonderful job at making healthy habits that you can sustain for a lifetime! Keep up the great work! I bet you'll be in the 150's within 2 weeks!

First of all CONGRATULATIONS on all of your success! That is super.

Wow on the inches lot. WOW on the 5k. I've never done one and that is definitely a goal for me to strive toward.

As you predicted, I love, love, love my BodyBugg. I really think it has made a HUGE difference for me. Thanks for your advice and support with that.

Now the surgery -- I'm sure it's scary but what a relief to not have the hysterectomy now. My thoughts and prayers for a quick, painless procedure - and extra speedy recovery -- are with you.

    Love, Nikki

So happy to hear that the doctor is able to avoid the hysterectomy if at all possible. I hope the procedure goes well and you don't experience much pain and a speedy recovery.

Great job on doing the 5K. Isn't it amazing??!! I haven't run in a LONG time. The last 5K I did, which was not a race, just for me, was back on Thanksgiving Day. It was slow but so much fun...wait did I say fun??? Yep, I did. I have a 5K race this Sunday, but I am not shooting for anything, but to get back out there and get the fuel pumping inside me and starting off my 1 - 5K a month for the year. I am still sick so that will hold me back some, but I won't give up. I will cross the line, even if its last...it doesn't matter.

    Have a great day!!!
