The Winter Break Strikes Back

Well it has been even a longer period of time since my last blog, and definitely a hard winter break for me. With all that was going on with both my work and my family life, it made it hard to eat well. There was always something salty or sugary left on my desk by a faculty or staff member. So I fell in to dispair and I let myself believe that it was a temporary thing.
Well that temporary thing went in to a month, and I gained 12 pounds back. Just last week I was able to get back on track with my work outs and I am down a couple of pounds. It sucks because with only losing less than a pound a week, I basically blew away a 2-3 months of progress.
I guess the positive thing here is that I am getting back on the horse and I am not giving up. Also, my kids have been taking better care of themselves as well. Years of learning mom & dad's way of eating was starting to take a toll on them. They are resilient though and have made excellent progress.
Well that is that for now. Hopefully the next time I log on, it won't be another tale of woe, but one of success. I need to break that barrier!
