31 Days - Share Your Knowledge, Strengthen Yourself - January 21

Spark's advice today is to:
Share your knowledge. Could someone else benefit from what you've learned so far? Acting as a mentor can strengthen your own commitment to your goals and inspire others to create positive
change in their own lives.
Yes, yes, yes!! There is one caveat I would caution, though...find the balance between being the supportive, mentoring buddy and the overbearing, know it all, the I've done and seen it all bore.. I say this with complete knowledge of what I speak, because I can be that person very easily,as I am one of those annoying people who honestly believes to her core that she is usually right. Some of my sparkbuddies might also know this about me, as I'm sure there have been times that I have come on too strong in this venue. It is definitely a big joke here in ny 3D life, and I am one of the biggest joksters because I really do know this about myself and I battle it all the time, and am the first person to point out that I am this way (usually by saying, "you know I'm always right!). But, as with all parts of us that we are not so crazy about, knowing and realizing it is most of the battle..and if we can't stop ourselves, just seeing the eye roll from the recipient of our words usually snaps us back to reality, lol..
But, I don't mean to make light of this very good advice, because here's the way I think it works: when you come to the aid and support of someone who needs a boost, you reinforce the good things you have already learned. I mean, you are not going to give bad advice, you are going to give the best advice you can, based on your own experience. So every time you do that, you re-visit why it is good advice, what experiences led you to the advice. Everyone knows that the best way to truly learn anything is through repetition..so repeating it strengthens your knowledge, as well as your "mentee's" knowledge, and might also be great inspiration to the person you are helping..talk about a win-win situation!!
