New Year, New Me

Today I am taking charge. I am making a new committment to a healthy lifestyle. I am determined to reach my goal this time, after making it halfway at one time, only to gain it all back after beginning a new relationship and a couple of very stressful semesters in college. I reset my goals on here today, and in this blog I will outlne a couple of short-term goals I will strive for to help me accomplish my long term goal of losing about 25 pounds initially. If my body lets me, I will aim for 30 or 35 after I reach the goal of 25. I know I can do it, because I've done so well in the past. The biggest obstacle is my lack of a routine. I can't keep a regular sleep, meal, or exercise schedule because my work schedule is all over the place. But I will take the following steps to get me back on track:

1. Commit at least 10 minutes a day to exercise. (I will increase this when I get accustomed to fitting this in my schedule.

2. Track my nutrition every day.

3. Drink at least 64 ounces of water daily.

I am also going to try to replace some of the carbs in my diet with fruits and veggies. This will be hard because my favorite foods are breads, pastas, and potatos!
