Update on my momma

Sunday, January 16, 2011

Got her stitches out on Friday and she's really improved her mobility. She's still using her walker but she can use the cane and even walk unassisted a little bit. We have 3 PT appts later this week, in the mean time I'm making sure she does her exercises and ices her knee frequentely. :)

We had some friends over for dinner tonight! It was nice to visit! Mom enjoyed hosting without having to do a single thing! LOL

Dad & I went on a walk this morning... We walked for a little over 40 min. FROZE my face off! It was 25 degrees!!!! No sunshine! Dad has the day off tomorrow so maybe we'll go on another walk, but I think it might snow, so we'll see.

Thank you so much for the update! I am glad to hear she is doing well!

WooHoo for the walk! 25 degrees is no joke! But, I am so proud that you made it out in that cold! You rock!

You braved a walk in 25 degrees?!?! I'm surprised you still have your face. I wouldn't have lasted 5 minutes. It's freezing here even at 46 degrees. Brrrrr!

Your a good daughter, making sure your mom does her exercises and ices that knee. I bet the therapists love you. Have a great week!

Hey, when are you coming home? emoticon

Thanks for updating us, you must know we worry about you emoticon Glad today was a good (but cold) day it sounds like. I was looking for something to put in here (emoticon) to help you keep cozy warm, but all I can find is this emoticon so enjoy a hot cup of whatever hot drink you prefer, and stay warm.

I will be praying for you. Caregiving is hard work. Good for you for walking in that kind of weather. Have patience with others and yourself on this journey. Blessings!

Wow, 40 minutes in 25 degrees? I'm calling you the Nanook of the North Warrior Ice Pixie now!

So glad to hear about momma. I know you have been an encourager and help to her and it has been good for both of you to have this time together. Happy to hear you had a nice visit this evening. While I know you are needed there, it will be so good to have you home again. We miss you...just knowing you are so far away, even when we hear from you regularly, makes a difference. It just feels "right" knowing you are close by. Be safe, stay warm, and hurry home! emoticon
