Day 11

Sunday, January 16, 2011

It is so inspiring to read fellow Sparkfriends blogs and to also realize that we deal with a lot of the same challenges. :)

Today is day 11 of the Biggest Loser Challenge and I am really enjoying it and it is just what I needed to get back on track again. Thanks Sparkpeople.

I have been sick with a nasty cold and as a result it has been a bit challenging this week. I had no appetite yesterday, but still managed to push 5 freggies down, but under calories and there was not much I could do about it. I did get exercise in, but no cardio. I just didn't have it in me and so I went and painted siding for our house for just under two hours. Innovation... lol..

I feel much better today and am going to get out for a nice long walk even though it is raining. Nothing an umbrella won't take care of. I look forward to getting back to running again too, but it will be a progressive journey as I still have some issues with my knee and need to continue strengthening it. I did a bit of a run walk on Thursday and it felt so amazing... I may not be able to run much at the moment, but it confirmed that this girl.... is a runner at heart. emoticon

Do to injury I have learned to be disciplined and am taking it slow and smart this time. Last time I jumped back to quick and I am still recovering. It has been 5 months and I think by spring I may be back running again. Slow and steady. Not always easy for me, but I have learned the hard way. I would rather run a bit than to not be able to run at all. Hard lesson learned, but I have learned.

Last weigh in I was down 3 lbs. I am very happy to be back and finding a new normal yet again.

Our house is to be finished and we are to be moving in April 1. I can't wait. It is has been over a year since we began to pack for this journey. I am so ready to have a home and our stuff out of storage and really get living our new life. The island is incredible and I will never tire of the beauty of nature around here. Ocean and trails just out the door and Mt Washington just 30 minutes away.

I am starting to look for work again. :( It really is time. I have been kept busy with the house and family stuff, but it is time to begin finding a groove in life again. So, wish me luck. I am sending two resumes off today and I have an interview the last week of Jan.

Life is coming together and I am really enjoying the BLC and needed it to get me focused again.

Off I go... emoticon
