I've been following this clean eating diet fairly well since January 1st. Recently though, I have been cheating a little bit. While eating clean isn't that difficult, I think jumping into it full force after eating pretty much whatever I wanted is just downright hard. I think by cheating a little I am actually saving my sanity. In addition, it's not like I'm sitting on my arse doing nothing. I go to the gym nearly every day, and when I'm there I really kick it into high gear. I've been running 5 days a week for my training, plus I'm lifting weights.
Bottom line, I don't feel too terrible because even with my cheating, I'm not cheating too bad. For example, while my boyfriend eats Ben & Jerry's Everything But The.... or Chunky Monkey, I'm mixing fresh fruit into Amond Dream Vanilla Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert (with only 12 g of sugar. While I know it's not the best, it sure beats (health-wise) Ben & Jerry's, but we all know which TASTES better!
