My husband and I slept until 10:00 (a total of 12 hours)! He is doing okay. He has a little discomfort but no pain. He has to have a vitamin D prescription twice a day and Tums for calcium 3 times a days. He also has to have a couple of Tums if he gets tingling in his lips or in his hands. This is a sign of his calcium level being too low. He is still a little woozy – probably from the anesthesia. He is planning on going back to work on Monday.

I still have a slight headache and my neck, shoulders and upper back are very sore. I was still tired when I woke up this morning and I laid back down at noon with a heating pad. I ended up sleeping for 3 hours! I am still hurting tonight.

Sat 1/15
1) Blog daily emoticon

2) Lose 5 lbs ... emoticon

3)Exercise daily for at least 20 min. ---- rest day

4) workout at least 3x's a week at gym -- emoticon

5) Strength Training 3x's a week -- emoticon

6) Drink a min of 8 glasses of water ea day. emoticon

7) Follow a low-carb diet -- . emoticon

    Oh Carrie, you have been shouldering so much as a mom and then with your hubbies surgery. On top of that you are working out and sparking like crazy. Sometimes we just need to listen to our bodies. Yours is saying "REST PLEASE" That is OK. You will jump back into your fitness goals when your body feels better.

    Praying right now that the vitamin D and calcium levels can be regulated w/ supplements. I understand how important the parathyroid is with those nutrients! Glad you both listened to your bodies and slept ... take it easy today, and don't skip a nap if your body calls out for it today, too!
