Back on WW

After some careful thought, I decided to rejoin Weight Watchers. I love the Spark site but found I needed more food structure so I decided to rejoin. Plus as a former member I was very curious about the new plan and how the point work. I know WW works so I was anxious to get that boost. To help keep my sanity, I'm doing the online version only. I did enjoy the meetings but it became too much to have to get the meetings every week. It became a chore instead of something that I could enjoy just for me. I also realized that even with the discount my employer set up with WW it is cheaper for me to do the online program. So far so good. I joined last week and had my first weigh-in today and lost 5.4. I've done WW off and on for 15 years so I'm blown by how many points daily and extra points are now allowed on the new plan. I'm still doing my Spark though. I love the challenges and potential to gain points by logging and education so I'm maintaining a presence on both sites. One major advantage of Spark is the ability to track things like sodium and potassium. As someone with hypertension it is important to see how much of each I am taking in. That in itself is enough reason to keep logging on Spark but I love the challenges as well.

I'm going to have to change my evening mindset because I find that now that I'm online in the evenings on both sites I'm more inclined to snack and of course I'm not hungry but I want to eat and have given in to the idea of eating. Gotta find a better strategy. I haven't been sleeping well the last week either so that hasn't helped. Oh well, what do they say-knowing is half the battle? The fact that I'm aware is a step. Gotta keep up this good work and remember my goal of reaching my goal weight by my 40th!

    I must say since I am trying to be more mindful of what I put in my mouth I seem to always have food on the brain too and can't just leave it there is my brain. I have been weak the last three evenings but at least this evening I found some motivation to work out. Now I feel better and more focused and will strive to have a great weekend!

    Great suggestion on the tea! I've been trying to incorporate herbal tea so the evenings would be a great time for it.

    I struggle with eating while on the computer, too. I haven't found a good way to combat it, so if you come up with something, let me know! I have found that when I start a new eating plan, I tend to eat more - probably because I have food on the brain all the time. It passes in time. Good luck!!

    I say, "Bravo!" Take the best of both worlds.

    How about a nice cup of herbal tea in the evening? Something to consume but without the calories??

    Awesome! I go to Weight Watcher meetings. I love my meetings. My leader is super. I had been to some meetings where I didn't like the leader. So I kept going to different ones until I found a leader I liked! I've been doing the new plan since end of November. Let me know if you have any questions about it!
