Why can't I see it?

Thursday, January 13, 2011

So for Christmas my mom bought me a few things, among them a top from American Eagle which I loved so much I just had to buy another! When talking to the mumzy about it she said that she had bought me a size smaller than usual--which I hadn't really noticed. Why? I asked her. And her response: Because you're loosing weight. As in she could see the weight I've lost.

So... Sweet Deal! I look thinner to other people--or at least my mom (and no she wasn't just being nice.) But why can't I see it? Doing this whole weight loss/diet and exercise/new lifestyle thing is great and all--but other than a few numbers on the scale, I'm not really seeing a whole lot of results.... WHICH IS DRIVING ME BATTY!!

I'm sure I'm like most people out there--where it's easier to keep going with a program like this as long as you're seeing results. And I'm sure she was right, I am shrinking little by little--but I look at myself every day, usually multiple times per day, and I don't see it.

Maybe I should just get my eyes checked! emoticon
