Monday & Tuesday workouts

Tuesday, January 11, 2011

Well didn't get around to posting yesterday so will do both tonight.

Yesterday I went to the gym fairly early for once and thought I would treat myself to some relaxation in the steam room after my workout, good incentive for getting it done quickly and not stand around chatting! lol

The workout was legs and biceps...

(Note that between sets I was only allowed 30 seconds rest)

Lunges - 20kg - 20 reps x 3 sets
Squats - 40kg - 20 reps x 4 sets
Straight leg deadlifts - 40kg - 20 reps x 3 sets
Leg curls - 20 reps x 4 sets

Barbel curls - 15kg - 20 reps x 3 sets
Preacher curls - No 3 (don't know weight) - 20 reps x 3 sets
All I can say is that I could hardly walk today and as for standing up when I have been sitting well that is just painful. My biceps and hamstrings felt like they were going to pop off and my butt cheeks were rather sore! lol

Then to really rub salt into the wounds I had to go back tonight and do more!!!! OMG emoticon

So I have just got back from the gym after doing aerobic workout 1 and still feel knackered and hurt even more now! This is what we did (my OH did it too):

20 mins Treadmill - interval walk 2.5mins and run 1min on an incline
15 mins Rowing - interval 500m as quick as possible then 1 min break and start again.
Squats - no weight - 20 reps x 5 sets (20 secs rest)
Press ups - 20 reps x 5 sets (I can not do many proper press ups so am starting on my knees)
Abs - 45sec static hold - 25 x kick outs - 25 x crunches (30 secs rest)

After all that I can really say, "I NEED MY BED!!!"

Fingers crossed I will feel a little better in the morning although I was fine this morning but as the day has worn on my aching has got worse and worse, I think it will be out in full force tomorrow and still got to go back tomorrow night!
