31 Days - Motivational Collage - January 9

Today, Spark wants us to:
Create a motivational collage. Find inspiring pictures, encouraging words and quotes, or anything that reminds you of your goal. Glue it all together and place it where you can see it daily. This is your vision a clear, motivating, and energizing reminder of who you want to be.
Great idea, but honestly, who has time? My "me" time is spent working out, praying, playing with my son, reading, sparking, watching a show or a sporting event on television, or going and participating in some activity. The rest of my days are filled with working, taking care of my son, my husband and my home, doing the "must do" things of every day living. There aren't any more minutes, hours or days.. I hear the value in it, I understand that it could be a good motivator, but I think this one goes a bit beyond reality.
And this leads me to a point that I'm not sure I've ever made. Sometimes, magazines, websites, and any other "giver" of advice, sets the bar a bit too high. It's like the Cosmo "super-woman" thing, where they set a standard that no one woman can possibly achieve. So with tips like this.. We pretty much have to squeeze out every spare minute virtually every day to just do the stuff we really have to, like work out, in addition to our regular household and family chores.. Not that I wouldn't LOVE to make a motivational collage, but...
I'm beating a dead horse, and it's late and I'm tired, and maybe a bit cranky, so I'm sorry if I sound like a grouch, but I think I'll just stop now..
