Well, after knee surgery followed by an infection and complications, I am finally up and around and looking at eating well. I am currently anemic so I am not allowed to go under a certain number of calories til that is better.

I have learned one thing from this -- well, I knew it already but now I really know it -- eating a small number of calories does not make me lose weight. I've had very little appetite until just this past week. Many days, I was doing all i could to get 500 good calories down. This went on for 6 weeks. And what did i lose? 10 lbs!

But never mind. I am going for the Healthy at Every Size goal and if, when I'm totally recovered, I can get back to walking for exercise, that may help.

    I'm so glad you are on the mend. I've been thinking about you but couldn't remember your Spark name. I don't lose very fast but I just focus on eating healthier and getting exercise. When the weight does come off it should be a lot easier to keep off by losing it slowly.
