beer belly

Thursday, January 06, 2011

So, ever since i started working out a month ago, now i have a reasonable amount of belly muscle. with a FAT LAYER on top of it. it sticks out even more. wtf?..
also, sadly enough, NOTHING fits looser. NOTHING.
i did start tracking calories only this week.....

on the upside, hubby joined me today--he watched entire District 9 while walkig on the treadmill. i am SO proud.

yep. spark calorie ranges are reasonable. i do think that i underestimate what i eat, but it's difficult to gauge how many calories are in homecooked food...

Yes, strict calorie counting... in the sense of counting every little crumb of food I eat, not necessarily in eating an ultra-low number of calories. SparkPeople's ranges always have worked well for me, if my goals aren't too aggressive.

so what's the answer then?......for me, it's STRICT calorie counting and accountability......
i think i'm getting used to being sore all the time and walking funny in the morning (i exercise at night...)

Exercise never makes me any smaller if I'm not also watching my food, either... it makes me so much hungrier that I eat extra calories. I maintained the same weight while doing kendo, yoga, and bellydancing... and while doing no exercise at all.
