First blog entry -- 1/6/11

Well, here goes nothing! I have never blogged before, although I am a professional writer so you would think I would be used to writing...

I'm on day 4 of this program. It's Jan. 6 and today would have been my (step) dad's 76th birthday. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago after having a massive stroke. (Since he was my step-dad, I don't have to worry about inheriting anything from him.) Today is also my neice's 16th birthday.

I need to figure out how to exercise. I just really don't like it, but know it's necessary. I will make any excuse to not do it! Today, I jogged up the stairs at work, for a total of 10 flights up (and 10 down). I guess that's something. It really gets my heart beat going and hurts my thighs.

I love the nutrition counter! It's so easy how you just put your food in and it calculates everything for you. Very easy to see which foods are the problems.

    I had never blogged before I found this site either but now that I do it, I find that it is so nice to share my experiences and feelings and have someone share suggestions or give encouragement (who doesn't need that right??)

    This site is great! The nutrition counter is helpful and there are lots of exercising tips as well. I am in the same boat with exercise! I used to do it alot and then it's almost like I forgot!!
