I didn't say it would be easy, just worth it...

Thursday, January 06, 2011

I did my exercise on Monday and here it is Thursday morning and I haven't exercised since. I'm disappointed in myself but not willing to give up. Part of the problem is my husband and I put off our healthy eating one more week until we get paid. I know I know.. it was a sad excuse... I'm frustrated because I know I can do this and I feel like we're waiting until I don't have it in me anymore. I really don't want to do this alone, I'm not sure that I can. Ugh!

The title of the entry says it all. It isn't easy, but it is indeed worth it.

There is an article somewhere on here about the cost of eating healthy vs. eating unhealthy (as in the literal dollars to pay for the food) and it's surprising what you can do with just a few bucks.

Even if you put off the "healthy" eating, you can still be mindful of portions and drink plenty of water (providing you have drinkable tap water) and that will help in the meantime. Start slowly, incorporate healthier food little by little if that is what is easier for you and your family.

But, please don't be too hard on yourself. So you didn't exercise. Well, there is nothing you can do about the past, but you DO have control over the here and now. Do you have something/someone that is inspiring you to be healthy again? Post images of that on your fridge or in an area you are in a lot to remind you of the GOOD reasons why you're making these changes.

You CAN do it! The only person holding you back, is you.
