The start of 2011

Like a lot of other people, I'm using the New Year as my starting point for a healthier life. I've gotten most of the holiday bad foods out of the house (a few leftovers that I eat in small amounts or throw away when they go bad). I've gotten better about working out. I started with a trainer this week. So I now have a once a week check-in. I know I already know what I need to do, but I don't seem to have enough motivation to do it. I'm hoping paying for a trainer for at least 3 months will be that motivation. It's been hard this week - I worked out on Monday. Tuesday, I thought I wouldn't even get out of bed, I was so sore. But, I've pushed through and gotten in a workout each day since. Now, early Thursday morning, I'm still a bit sore, but it's much better and I can now get a GOOD workout in again.
My ultimate goal is to lose inches. I fixate too much on the weight. So, I'll officially weigh in once a month with the trainer. No more weigh-ins at home. So.......let's see how this goes!!
