A Fresh Start instigated by my ex-employer

Wow, I really have been putting off writing this blog.

On Dec 29, I was told that my job had ended, that I was unable to do the job adequately to keep it. I thought I was ready for it. I had been trying since I was diagnosed with ADD to get the right meds and some coping mechanisms. They only gave me 7 weeks and it wasn't enough. I really thought they'd give me more time; that the fact that they now need to interview, hire and train someone would be a chancy enough process that it would be worth it to give me more time. But it was not to be. I went in today and collected my stuff.

So that door has closed and it's time to open some others!

My birthday is coming up on the 27th, so I've decided that I'll spend this month in a brainstorming process. I have invited some friends to help me and it will culminate in an afternoon of brainstorming followed by dinner on the 29th.

I'm very excited. I am aiming to come out of this with some short term goals of how I'll make a living in the next year or two. Also, I'll have some longer term goals that I'll be able to work on and slowly transition to doing more things that are both profitable and enjoyable for me.

More later

I wish you happiness and fulfillment on your new path! About 20 years ago when I wanted to change careers, I had a brainstorming session with friends, and it was really helpful. What came out of it wasn't what I ended up doing, but it led me to go back to school, which led to what I'm now very happily doing.

You have the right attitude to deal with this and I wish you great success! Glad you have supports in your immediate circle to get you through. Let me know if I can be of any help (and I mean that!). You know God has a reason for all of this and he will see you through. May you find just what you need behind some of those new doors! Take care Pesha! hugs, Kim emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Good luck Pesha, my dh lost his job on Jan 3rd. We are brainstorming trying to figure out how to pay the bills. It sounds like you have a great attitude and some good ideas about what you want to accomplish.
