Some thoughts...

Wednesday, January 05, 2011

So today I went to the clinic and was told that (surprise) I have a cold. I love it when I go to the doctor and find out something I already know. :oP

One of the things the nurse practitioner asked me about was whether or not I had a "significant" weight gain or loss. I told him that I had gained 20+ pounds in the last year. He said that it wasn't significant--he was thinking more along the lines of 10 pounds overnight or something like that.

So odd to me that he claimed something that has been turning my world upside down for a couple of days was considered "insignificant".

*sigh*

On the one hand, it put things in perspective a bit. On the other hand...I know I need to face up to my own feelings about this--otherwise I might not be able to move on from here.

Erin nice to see you blog again. I sure have missed you and I wish you the best this year. You will reach your goals if you put your mind, body and soul into making it happen. Stay focused on your goals and eat healthy exercise and change the things you can and don't worry about what you can't. Sandy

Em, it's not that bad. It's just very significant to us and he was talking about something totally different. It's just a different perspective than what you were thinking.
