Jumping into January

I received a bit of a shock on New Year's Day. I weighed myself. On a new scale. And yes, I intentionally bought a new scale (the old one was going kinda nutty on me and was not incredibly accurate).

And no, I didn't like what I saw. I wanted to not believe what those little black numbers said, but then I measured myself. And measurements, I've learned, don't lie.

At least, not in this case.

Weight: 192 lbs (this is 4 lbs less than when I started SparkPeople in April of 2008)
Neck: 13.5 in
Right Bicep: 13.75 in
Left Bicep: 13.5 in
Bust: 44.75 in
Waist: 43.25 in
Hips: 50 in
Right Thigh: 26.25 in
Left Thigh: 26.0 in

I said the measurements don't lie because they jive with other things--specifically with how well (or poorly) my clothes fit.

Earlier I posted my overall goals for 2011. January's goals are broken down like so:

***Water: 8-10 8oz glasses daily
***Exercise: 30-60 min, 5 times each week
***Journal Daily (I thought that this would help me make it a habit)
***Log food on SparkPeople Daily

Standard Goals for Whole Year:
***Read Bible & "My Utmost for His Highest" each day
***Take a picture and post it on Project 365 & Facebook each day
***Write in a journal daily
***Blog Weekly

    I've missed reading your blogs. My fault, of course. Just haven't gotten back into all the teams and blogs. I've done all the backsliding I'm going to. Back on the wagon and headed towards lifestyle changes. I don't want to keep doing this to myself.
