Finally, I am at a place with an internet connection that is not through my phone. Okay, well, that's been my excuse for the last week or so. However, I have no legitimate excuse for taking the year of 2010 off, essentially. And I am not going to apologize for it. Yes, I am discouraged by where it has placed me, but I'm choosing to move forward.
On New Year's Eve of 2010, I sat down and listed out some goals for the coming year. This year is a big year to me, as it is the year I am turning 30. Yup, the big 3-0. And while many people would say I am just a youngin', I don't always feel like I am. So, it's time for me to get my internal/mental/emotional age (as WiiFit would put it)to match my actual age!
So, here goes. My goals for 2011:
***Be under 150 pounds
***Run part (if not all) of Bloomsday (signed up today, that's a step in the right direction)
***Read my Bible each day (going through the 1-year Bible reading plan with my church)
***Read "My Utmost for His Highest" each day
***Journal Daily (handwritten journal--not typing). Old school, I know ;)
***Blog at least once a week (aside from my Project 365 blog)
***Be in a place of my own (rent or own, I don't care, I just know I shouldn't be living with my parents any longer)
***Go to New York City in October to celebrate my 30th birthday (even though I'm not 30 until December)
***Complete Project 365 Blog for 2011
***Scrapbook 2010's Project 365 (enlisting my sister-in-law's help with this one!)
***Read one Biography/Autobiography each month (I find I get more inspiration from reading true stories from other people--not just watching a movie about their lives or reading a fictitious story)
There are so many other goals that are tied into each one of these, but I figured this was enough to be going on with for now.
For those of you wondering, Project 365 is a photography challenge. The challenge is to take a picture of something (anything) for each day of the year. I am pleased to say that I actually completed this task for 2010 and uploaded all of my photos to Facebook. This year, I hope to broaden my horizons and post pictures on 365project.org/em_clark1
as well as on Facebook.
This year I hope to broaden my horizons a bit more, meet new people and experience many new things. Let's see what 2011 has in store for me!
