losing it - but do not like it - surgery confusion

Tuesday, January 04, 2011

OK I have lost 13 pounds since my surgery ordeal began. Granted - while in the ICU I was on a "liquid" diet of an IV. Two days later - solid foods. Once home, I found that I need to eat 6 small meals a day, mostly protein. Granted I spend as much time in the bathroom as I do the kitchen these days, but I am only 15 days post-op first surgery and 8 days post-op the second.

Tomorrow I am going to see my family doctor, Thursday the 1st surgeon; the only reason I am returning to the 1st surgeon - I want my pathology report without delay!!

I feel the first surgeon should have NEVER released me from the hospital after my original surgery, as they could not get my pain under control. When I returned to her office, three days post-op in agony, she should have sent me DIRECTLY to the hospital. I called her office every day and the on-call doctor nightly, expressing my discomfort.

I am waiting to hear from the second (emergency) surgeon to get instructions, as I was given NONE \upon my discharge, I do not know if this was at the discretion of the first surgeon or not, but she informed me that she will not be removing the stent that was put in me, because she did not perform that surgery.

Oh WHAT FUN it is to ride..... ;o)

God is holding my LIFE in HIS hands!
God Bless you!

Jenla, so sorry you have gone through all this. I just dont understand some Dr. A nurse told me this joke one time.
GOD DOESNT WANT TO BE A DR.. DO YOU GET IT SHE WAS SAYING MOST DR. THINK THEY ARE GOD. I think if we took more action against these Dr. may be they would shape up. I didnt, with my former family dr. and i should have. This is why I'm going to new Renal Dr. That's a hard way to lose weight. Take care of your self.

Good Grief -- too bad the doctors can't go through the same thing you have. they'd sure get things ironed out fast. they are disgusting. Praying things get better. Think you've been through the worst now. Hugs, Echo emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon
