Quick fix ???

Tuesday, January 04, 2011

So I bought this band that is made of neoprene that is suppose to help support your back and help you sweat out excess water while you workout or just wear it around the house. I have been trying it out for a hour everyday to see if it gives any results. I haven't seen too much so far but then again I have had a lot of company and have done a lot of eating over Christmas. I have found the back support nice because I have scoliosis and my Chiropractor cringes every time I mention exercise. But too bad for him I'm careful and don't do something if it doesn't feel right. I was born with the scoliosis and when I was a child I was very active. I did everything from dance to gymnastics to soccer and even did some sprint running which now when I talk about running he looks at me like I am crazy. But I feel as long as I listen to my body then I am going to continue to exercise because the heavier I am the worse it is on my back. I hope to see some results from this band but I am also aware that it is a quick fix to a long term situation. I guess sometimes you get motivation from really strange things and all the proceeds go to breast cancer so it is a good cause. I let you all know in a couple weeks if it is working or it is all in my head.
