So in 2010 I decided to train and run a marathon. This I accomplished, but I gained about 20 pounds in the process (cardio makes me really hungry).
So for 2011 I am changing focus. I want to build muscle and become more fit. So instead of focusing on cardio I am putting strength training to the front of my priority list. Right now the plan is to ST three times a week and and do High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) 2-3 times per week.
I also need to get my eating under control. I need to increase my protein, decrease my carbs, and avoid the junk foods.
I know I can do this. I plan on getting into the 170s this year. I also want to reach a size 10-12 in pants. Right now I am about 215 and ~14-16 pant size.
