Continued from yesterday

Today's goal for myself will be an easy one, one that I used in the very beginning to keep me motivated and moving forward (and I certainly need some forward momentum now!!) One simple question, one that I used to ask myself daily when I first started. Feel free to ask yourself the same question (although some of you who are my motivators need only to look in the mirror to answer!!)

Here's my question: What did I do today that makes me proud of myself?

P.S. Thank you to all who responded to my blog yesterday. One of the reasons I stopped blogging was that I couldn't keep up with the thank-you's! I'm looking for a better way to show my thanks, you are all sincerely appreciated!!

LATER IN THE DAY: I have spent time throughout the day thinking about how I started 19 months ago. I can no longer slide through each day with the routine I've gotten accustomed to. I need to be more focused. With that in mind, I have a specific exercise routine for this week (no more of the "what do I feel like doing today?" plan) I stopped eating for the day at 6:00 p.m. (the nighttime prowling stops now!!) I did well food-wise and tracked EVERYTHING today. It was a little frustrating when the site got bogged down this afternoon but I did my best and made some great choices.

I can be proud of all of that! What will I do tomorrow??

    I have to be honest with you. I used to send out thank you's to everyone who posted messages to my blogs or spark page. Now, I just have had to accept that I can not do it. I can't keep up. It's the one place in my life that I fall short GRAVELY. However, I am not going to beat myself up. I thank people "publicly" often as YOU do. I think that we just have to live "thankfully" and go about our business. What I am proud of about myself today? I went to the Y when I didn't want to. I taught 3 hours of cardio classes and worked out on my own for an additonal 90 minutes. I made a point of spreading the SMILE epidemic and spoke to both strangers & friends to try to brighten their day. I am proud that I am a people person. Love ya, Dawn emoticon emoticon

    Ahhh, Kathi, this is my issue, too, the thanking and the keeping up! I think we're all doing the best we can! I'm glad I have friends like you who help me remember that we can DO THIS!

    That question is really loaded...we should be doing something to make ourselves proud each day. We should also be recognizing what we do, big or small.Thanks for the reminder.
    Please don't feel you have to personally thank everyone each time they make a comment. Some of that time would be better used to do some exercise or menu planning. I do understand that communicating with SP friends is IMPORTANT, but it can't take over all your time.

    Good question. I'm going to make sure that today I have an answer to that because lately I'm not sure I could have answered it very well!! Also, I may not be a very good sparker because I kinda gave up on getting all the comments thanked. Please feel free to do the same to me at all times. emoticon (Not that I'm not appreciative......)

    That's a good question to ask yourself at the end of each day. Some days may even have a few responses! :) Don't worry about responding to each person; sometimes a thank you in a status update is all people need to feel thanked. ;)
