The New Year

At the end of the year, I always find myself reflecting on the past 12 months. For me, the last 12 months have been a rollercoaster ride. I moved, finished my 1 year anniversary of my promotion at work, lost 16 pounds (and kept them off), started couples therapy, separated from my husband, got divorced, and bought a new home. It has not been dull.

I also find myself contemplating what the next 12 months will bring. There are so many possibilities, so many wonderful surprises that I'm sure will lie ahead. I find myself optimistic about my life, and open to the opportunities that will present themselves.

I haven't formally written down my resolutions, but here are a few physical challenges that I want to try:
1. Start the Couch25K program.
2. Run the Rock N Race 5K this year, instead of walking.
3. Try an indoor climbing wall.
4. Try a Zumba class (am I the only one who hasn't?)
5. Research surf camp.

    Looks like some interesting goals - I did my very first Zumba class on Thursday as a guest at a different gym and can't wait to start nagging my gym to find an instructor!

    It was such fun and a really good workout - for me it was especially good as my dance lessons are on hold over the December/January South African holiday period and I miss it terribly

    Great list.........love them all! And no, you aren't the only one that hasnt tried Zumba........I haven't either. So that makes two of us! And Surf Camp.......Wow! You go, girl!

    Great list! I highly recommend the Couch25k program, I completed it and have participated in 2 5k's one walking and one running. Good luck to you and I wish you a successful 2011!
