New Year!

Happy 2011, Sparkfriends! This last month has been a rough one at our house. Emergency back surgery for my husband complete with very slow recovery that is still ongoing. Spent a week in the hospital and now recovering at home. I have practiced yoga exactly once in the past three weeks and am feeling the negative effects. Very thankful for lots of supportive friends. The Body of Christ is alive and well and has been supporting and serving us at every turn!

Things are getting better, though, and we are optimistic about the new year. I started a new training plan for a half marathon at the end of March, although just realized I may have missed the registration deadline. If so, I'll just find another around the same time. I am scheduled for a long run (only 7 miles) today but overate so much yesterday that my stomach is definitely not ready for it yet today. I am afraid to get too far from the house if ya know what I mean! Am hoping the rain stays away for my afternoon run - and may stick with a short loop close to home.

That said, my primary goal for 2011 is to finally shape up on my nutrition. Must stop shooting myself in the foot with poor food decisions! I know that means I have to start the pesky logging again, but it does work. I just hate to do it.

    Hi! It's been a long time. I'm back on Spark and have even more to lose. I'm right there with you on a food hangover. I am feeling better than some hours ago. It is so easy to join in...Along with the extra lbs. I got some real tight muscle issues. I got some self massage products (Trigger Point Therapy) for Christmas. I'm back going to chiro. I seriously have to stretch as much as I breathe. Well, just stopping by to say hi and God bless your 2011!
