Post holiday...still plugging along

Thursday, December 30, 2010

Wow the days do fly past. I have been pleased that through the holiday season I managed to keep the weight going in the right direction. The weight loss was a little slower, but it's fine. Overall I will take ANY loss. I made some great decisions in getting rid of all of the left over goodies in the house the day after our holiday celebration. I packed up all of the cookies, breads, and pies and gave them away. Better not to have the temptation. And while I "budgeted" for each goodie calorie wise through the holiday, it is still better to have fresh fruit and veggies. I feel so much better fueling my body with quality food items.
The gym has become my sanctuary. I do spend a huge amount of time there, but's a good obsession right? I think part of the joy is that all of the cardio machines have a tv. All I have to do is bring my headphones and boom an hour is past. I don't have cable at home so it is a little extra treat (on top of the super strong and charged feeling I get from working out).
In 2-3 more pounds I will have met another mini-goal..under 190. I was 192.5 today with my flannel jammies on. Now there are days I would have stripped down just to see if I was under 190 sans clothes. Today I am feeling like it is all good. I WILL get there, I WILL reach my goals, I WILL attain a healthy BMI.
Blessings to all,

Don, I use AIM fitness in Norwich. I think it is about $33 a month with the discount I get through work. Totally worth it to me. I am looking forward to 2011 with great enthusiasm.
