I have accomplished:
DH & I bought our first house together and it is our "forever house".
Got a job I LOVE LOVE LOVE. I never thought it would happen :)
Ran my first 5K in April in a bit over 31 min.
I have slowly been eliminating HFCS, artificial sweeteners, and trans fats from my diet as I read INGREDIENTS and not just nutrition labels.
I have almost completely stopped eating frozen dinners for lunch. I still keep 1-2 on hand for "emergencies" and even those are more "natural" like Kashi or Amy's.
I have become a tea drinker! ....not as a sub for coffee, but herbal decaf as a way to curb cravings and up water intake.
I have realized:
I cannot workout at home bc I phone it in. After 30 min my motivation/attention span is done. I get a MUCH better workout at the gym - particularly claases - bc I don't have to figure out what I'm gonna do. I just show up and follow along and allow myself to be pushed by the instructor and the classmates bc my competitive nature kicks in.
I HAVE to figure out a way to drink more water. I am done buying the flavored waters (yuck art. sweeteners) & seltzers that come in a plastic bottle. But plain water is yuck!! Maybe I need to brew some of those teas in bigger batches to bring w/ me?
I HAVE to consistently strength train at least 2-3x/wk bc every year that passes that I don't I am getting less & less toned.
I HAVE to plan all of my meals/snacks, not just dinner, to make sure I'm not left to "wing it".
I HAVE to workout at least 5x/wk CONSISTENTLY in order to lose wt instead of gain/maintain.
I need to stop talking myself out of workouts/into eating whatever I want at the time AKA making excuses...it's NOT. GETTING. ME. ANYWHERE. ....but bigger.
What did you accomplish and/or learn in 2010? Here's to a ROCKIN' 2011!!!!
