what's important to you?

I'm going to use Spark People to track my calories and every now and then I will blog. I work part time (15 hours) and I am about to jump to 30 hours. I have a family. I like to volunteer at my son's school on the days his class is in the library. I like to spend time with my husband on the nights he is home. I like to eat. (doh!) And I also have a physical limitation due to a crazy tendon in my ankle.

I also like to feel good about myself spiritually, mentally, and physically. That p-h-word has been missing lately. I'm not going to sign up for a crazy workout plan, or a crazy eating plan. I'm just going to do what I know works and what I know makes me feel good. I am going to watch my portion sizes, track my food, and be intentional about workouts.

And I feel really REALLY good about having realistic goals for myself!

Goal 1: Make it an entire week tracking my food.
Reward: New water bottle

Goal 2: Workout 3 times each week, two weeks in a row
Reward: New workout shoes

Goal 3: Weigh in at 159
Reward: hair cut and highlights!

Goal 4: Get my son to ride his bike without training wheels (this means I'm off my rear and we're at the park!)
Reward: knowing that I taught him something new!

Goal 5: Weigh in at 154
Reward: Feel good about getting back to my pre-foot problem weight, and use my gift card to buy a new workout outfit.
