Going Home!

Monday, December 13, 2010

So, I went to my Mom and Dad's in Maine for the weekend to see them before Christmas came and went. I ate the entire time and it's OK. I knew I would and I am just getting right back on track this morning. I feel, or I know for me that if I try to limit myself, and not enjoy a carefree weekend that I will only get mad at myself for not being able to do it for one, and two not be able to pick it back up Monday morning. By being kind to yourself and giving in to indulgences once in a while I think you will do better then being strict and beating yourself up if you do fall of the wagon, so to speak. That's just me anyway and I hope it helps others to understand that it takes all kinds, and all kinds of ways to lose weight and get healthy. There is no one way!

Ya, you are right, not to many breaks. Do you raise sheep? I am crazy, nutty into fiber arts, crocheting but now needle felting. While I was in Maine my mom joked that I would be raising my own shortly. I used to have a farm for years with my first marriage. Horses, chickens, pigs, some sheep, etc.

Yep, I took a short break a year ago and am still on it! I know what you mean, but we still have to be careful not to let our breaks take us over. I too have given myself short breaks so that I don't get bogged down in the strictness of it all because if I can't enjoy the ride I ain't gonna take it.
