It's Done & Awesome! Happy Holidays!!!

Much of this past week has been spent decorating the front of the house for the holidays.
Two years ago at Thanksgiving my mom died. My brother was able to come to Denver to spend her last hours with her. He then stayed the weekend and helped us decorate for Christmas. It was a wonderful way to honor her as she always enjoyed seeing our house during the holidays. Last year, however, I wanted very little to do with decorating and even Christmas itself.
This year after all my travel I was once again going to leave the decorating to my boys, but they had other things going. So I decided that if it didn't get up this past week, it wasn't going to get up at all. I started decorating on Tuesday, putting up some of the decorations or lights each day. Everyone kept asking if I was getting any help. I would have to answer, "no." While others were surprised and even a bit upset with my kids and hubby, I was doing it on my own, And I was actually enjoying decorating. This weekend, I did finally get some assist from my boys, one of their friends, and even my husband in the end. We not only got everything done, but we finished it with no arguing, bickering or any kind of negativity (that's a first).
I actully feel more of the holiday spirit this year and it's kind of nice. So I wish everyone a Merry Chirstmas, Happy Hanukkah, or whatever holiday you celebrate. I hope everyone feels the spirit of the season.
Oh, and here is the finished product...
