I did gain about 7 lbs since my hospital visit the beginning of November and the diagnosis of the clots in my leg and lung. I have now been given the go-ahead to increase my exercise so I am just going to move on from those 7 lbs. We do create our own experience by the way we react to occurences that take place around us. We are our own visionaries and we must keep the vision in front of us as to how we want to look and how we physically want to feel.
A healthy body breeds a healthy mind. That should be our motto. There is no good served by berating ourselves or criticizing ourselves for a slip-up we think we have had...it is counterproductive to think that way. We must see where we have slipped up and perhaps ask ourselves why but move on, turn the page. We have so much support from our friends here at Spark. We all have the same goal. To get healthy and feel healthy both in body, mind and Spirit. For Christian believers, we are made in the image and likeness of God, He gives us all that we need for this journey. I now more than ever appreciate this life that has been given to me. When we set our goals whether they be weekly, monthly or yearly, they must include a daily goal. It is through our daily goals that we will achieve our final goal. Doing a
little something everyday that puts us towards that final goal we seek. One of the challenges that I am involved in now is to do something everyday for a friend or a stranger. A kind work, helping someone with packages or as we have seen on tv....pay for the lunch of the person that is behind us in the drive- in line and tell the girl who takes our money to wish him/her a Merry Christmas. As we continue on our journey we receive as gifts ideas from
our Spark friends, do that 10 minute exercise each day....you can walk in place in your home if its too cold outside. Push away from the table when your only partially full and take the advice and tips of your fellow Sparkers who are on the same journey. In this Season of Love and Hope let us extend ourselves to one another and look for the many Blessings that are coming our way. Merry Christmas to all my Spark friends and those I have not yet met.
In Christ's Love, June

Beautiful blog, and certianly one I could do with reading right now, i am feeling so much guilt over over-eating... that it makes things worse... if I could just enjoy and move on I would probably eat far less.
