Knowing....Believing

Saturday, December 11, 2010

I was just laying here thinking how easy it is to get bogged down in life and all the challenges and problems that arise. Whether it's about loosing weight, finances, your health, or whatever....they are real issues for us and they have our attention. Sometimes those issues can just compound and you start to feel that life is squeezing the life out of you! If you focus on them, they become too heavy and cause stress and worry.
It's during those times, where you really got to know and believe something. You have to know who you are, whose you are, and how you're able to overcome. For me, I KNOW, I'm a Child of God (joint heir to the throne of grace), Because of that, there are promises He has made me. Because of His promises, I can press on. I can walk through my circumstances and know that no matter how things may come out, it ALL works together for my good. God is in control of my life and He's working all things (whether I see them as bad or good), out for my good. So whatever you do, don't give out; don't give in.....just believe because in the end, no matter what the outcome, you can come out victorious....You can win!

This is a great reminder of the peace we have when we have a relationship with God. It is also very helpful when others have wronged you to know that God knows what is in their hearts and minds and he will punish them if they meant to do you harm. It is such a relief to know that we do not have to seek revenge ourselves.
