8 lb loss and back on track

So I'll be honest...from halloween until Thanksgiving, I ate like lil Miss Piggy! (3 children, 3 baskets full of chocolate candy....I just couldn't resist!). As a result, the Monday following Thanksgiving, I got on the scale and saw that I was a whopping 156lbs!! I haven't been 156lbs since the year I gave birth to my 4 y/o. I than had to be honest with myself and admit that I cannot eat any and everything and expect to NOT gain weight. Truth is, I have been as large as 186lbs (during pregnancy) and the fat cells are there. They may shrink from time to time but they are there and I have to work at keeping the weight off and losing weight to reach my goal. I have consistently tracked my food intake since 11/29 and have thrown in a little exercise (not very consistent) and have lost the 8 lbs that I've gained. Now I'm back to 148 lbs and will continue to do what I am doing (and add in consistent exercise) to stay on track. Moving forward, my goal is a 2lb loss each week. I am no longer in denial. I know that I have to monitor my intake and exercise! I do plan to let loose on Christmas but I will make up for it. ;-)
