22 Days Before Christmas

Most of you are probably looking forward to the Christmas Holidays. Until yesterday I was too. I finally had managed to get my plans for my DH set for the Christmas. Then I receive an email from a family member. Now this family member doesn't corespond with the family normally mainly because they are an in-law. You see I have 5 sibilings we all pretty much stay in contact on week to week basis through email. Like most sibilings from a large family we don't always see eye to eye on things. We have rarely if ever drag spouses or kids into the mix. Spouses and especially should know better than to interfere in a sibiling squabble. Especially when comes to my family squabbles are pretty common.

I was surprised and even a little put out when I read this email. Where this in-law is putting down another family member over some small insult (their wods not mine). My problem is not that he feels he has to vent. My problem is that according to him this has been going on for over a year. Now just 22 days before Christmas he makes the decision to vent. An in turn drags the whole family into it by sending all of us an email about it.

I was planning on visiting both parties this Christmas for a couple of hours. I am not sure that I can do that now at least with the in-law. Cause I don't want a rehash of the story over and over again. They have just about ruined Christmas for me.
