November has put me in a slump. I get all hyped up and motivated then it slinks away from me when things slow down or just in general aren't going the way I would like. I've had excuse after excuse of why I can't go workout (i.e. sick and can't breathe, working, too tired, too much to do, etc., etc., etc.) or why I can "slip up" and eat whatever just this one day. Well, one time leads to another and then another and then soon enough I'm feeling completely derailed! I need to kick it up a notch! Things have to change...and soon. No more devil may care attitude about my life. I have to step up my game and get the ball rolling again! I just have to keep myself reminded of how far I have come and how close to my end goal I am. I've worked so hard to get to this place and I don't want to let it all go to waste.
So this December I will be participating in somewhat of an on the side (yet very important) personal challenge.
Lisa's 31 Days of Change!
. I will be facing the rest of the holidays and some personal problems/fears head on and get my head back on straight. I'll be keeping to a program set by myself which I'll follow all month and hopefully from there after (such as what to avoid and what to keep front and center, scheduled/pre-planned workouts to keep from skipping days, foods I should and shouldn't eat). I'll also make it a point to update my blog a minimum of once or twice a week to help keep on track.
If I can keep to this for the month, I think a big reward is in order. I have a few ideas in mind right now, but I have to narrow it down to the one that will help motivate me the most.
Keep away from fast food, sodas, junk food, candy, anything with too much sugar or sodium, most processed foods.
More fruits and veggies!!!
1,000 workout minutes for the month minimum (any kind - cardio, strength training, etc.)
Put in at least 10 miles a week on track or treadmill (since I now have one at home!) preferably of mostly running so I can do that 5k I've been itching to go out for. :)
8-10 glasses of water per day.
Keep within my calorie range (no binge days!)
Keep working towards that 100lbs lost mark!!!!!! and most importantly......
Put my all into everything that I do, be the best me I can be and NEVER GIVE UP!!!
